AdventHealth Rocky Mountain region is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support AHMG Urology at Denver and AHMG Urology at Lone Tree with a 50/50 split between the two clinics with a primary focus on clinical services in the inpatient and outpatient setting. You will work alongside a group specialized professionals to offer a cohesive approach to urologic care utilizing advanced technologies and leading-edge therapies to increase patient access for timely treatment. Delivery of patient care is conducted in collaboration with surgeons and physicians including, but not limited to, physical exams, diagnosis and treatment, ordering and interpreting tests, counseling on preventative health, writing prescriptions under administrative guidance and physician supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates and treats patients with acute and chronic urologic complaints and provides preventive and health maintenance urologic care. Including the following:
- Assessment of patient health status through physical exam, reviewing patient history, diagnostic tests and procedures, reviewing labs and other critical data.
- Diagnosis of acute and chronic conditions.
- Initiating orders for medications, laboratory, and other diagnostic testing.
- Implementing changes in drug treatment therapy as ordered by the physician(s) and/or other healthcare providers.
- Share on-Call responsibilities at AdventHealth Porter Location.
- Coordinating information flow among medical, ancillary, nursing, financial and insurance personnel.
- Can have the opportunity to exercise Autonomy in decision making.
- Coordinating information flow among medical, ancillary, nursing, financial and insurance personnel
- Assisting with discharge planning in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary healthcare
- 50/50 split between Denver Urology and Lone Tree Urology
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of experience as an APP, urology experience is helpful.
- If Nurse Practitioner - must have successfully completed at minimum, a Master's level-nurse practitioner program, passed state boards, and achieved APRN status.
- If Physician Assistant - must hold at minimum a Bachelor's degree and have passed the national board exam.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Sound clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time-management skills in a high-stress environment.
- Ability to work well without supervision.
- Initiative to keep abreast of new information/products/developments in assigned specialty.
- Computer skills and ability to work effectively across multiple electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Current BLS certification.
- Current, valid State of Colorado license or ability to obtain one.
